The Center for Social Science Scholarship has a broad ambition to support and strengthen social science research, teaching, and community and professional engagement and to enhance the future of innovative, collaborative, cross- and interdisciplinary, and cutting edge social science scholarship at UMBC.  We serve as a hub for various research units, including the Maryland Institute for Policy Analysis, and Research and the Collaborative for Interdisciplinary Promotion of Health Equity Research (CIPHER), as well as lecture series, such as the Social Sciences Forum.
