On this special episode of Retrieving the Social Sciences, we hear a panel discussion about UMBC’s social science Fulbright Scholars. Joining us on the panel is Maryam Elhabashy (UMBC ’21), a Research Assistant at Rutgers University and a 2022 Fulbright recipient. Maryam’s Fulbright project is entitled “Faith, Family, Food, and Fitness: Exploring Trends of Obesity among Kuwaiti Women.”
We also hear from Dr. Brian Souders, Fulbright Program Advisor and the Associate Director of Global Engagement Opportunities at UMBC
Finally, our panel includes Dr. Bambi Chapin, Associate Professor of Anthropology at UMBC, and Maryam’s research advisor during her time at UMBC.
