Innovative Training for Increasing Knowledge and Empathy in Working with Immigrant Students in K-12 Schools

The UMBC Department of Education Research Seminar series continues with a talk by Dr. Kerri Evans of the UMBC School of Social Work.

One in four students in the US are part of an immigrant family. In this presentation, Dr. Evans will discuss the need for specialized training and the research process used to create a game-based training module for college students, teachers, and professionals. She will share the goals of the board game, preliminary data findings, and next steps.

All are welcome!   Please RSVP by March 4th.  Lunch will be provided by the department.
