Jaqueline Fernandes, Brazilian cultural activist, will discuss her book, The Latinidades Festival - Memories and Utopias of Black Women. Hear about the history of the festival from the vantage point of a co-founder and learn about the festival's political and cultural impact on Latin America.
Hosted by the Language, Literacy & Culture Program with support from the Center for Social Science Scholarship, the Dresher Center for the Humanities, and the Latino/Hispanic Faculty Association at UMBC.
